AutoFlight to supply fleet of advanced eVTOL aircraft to Hefei city under new partnership

  • Agreement includes plans for AutoFlight's new East China operational hub in Feixi County

AutoFlight and the city of Hefei signed a comprehensive project cooperation agreement on April 2, marking the start of a partnership to develop Hefei’s urban air traffic system.

Under the agreement, Hefei has purchased multiple AutoFlight electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, including cargo models, emergency firefighting vehicles, and 5-seat passenger aircraft. These acquisitions will enable the development of air logistics networks, emergency response capabilities, aerial sight-seeing, and advanced air mobility services both inside the city and inter-city, supporting Hefei’s strategic goals for its low-altitude economy.

The partnership also includes AutoFlight establishing its East China regional headquarter in Hefei's Feixi County. This new facility will house final assembly operations, testing facilities, sales offices, and training centers. Hefei has established itself as a leading low-altitude pilot city through supportive policies and innovative air traffic management experiences. The city’s approach to developing low-altitude economic capabilities has become a model for urban centers across China.

AutoFlight, backed by CATL with hundreds of millions of US dollars in investment, benefits from CATL’s high-safety, high-reliability, and high-stability battery solutions. AutoFlight’s eVTOL aircraft feature a lift and cruise configuration, delivering exceptional safety, substantial payload capacity, and extended range. This design achieves an optimal balance between flight performance, overall cost, and safety requirements.

AutoFlight’s independently developed CarryAll is the only with M.O.T.W. more than one tone that has secured both TC Type Certificate and PC Production Certificate globally to date. The Airworthiness Certification process for the 5-seat passenger version, Prosperity, is expected to be completed in 2026.
