Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) Delegation Visits AutoFlight to Advance eVTOL Cooperation in Thailand
23 August 2026 (Kunshan, China): AutoFlight welcomed a delegation from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), led by Director General Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, for discussions on eVTOL technology, airworthiness and potential applications in Thailand.
The delegation included CAAT Deputy Director General Kajonpat Maklin, Director of Airworthiness and Aircraft Engineering Chatchai Puntragul, Director of Aviation Industry Development and Promotion Paramita Uthasin, Acting Director of Unmanned Aircraft Standards Kasitbhat Intuyos, and other senior officials.
Marking the CAAT delegation’s second visit to AutoFlight since December 2025, the meeting focused on airworthiness certification, flight testing, operations, maintenance and commercial deployment. The two sides also discussed potential cooperation on airworthiness standards, operational requirements, safety management and personnel training, as well as opportunities for eVTOL testing and pilot programs in Thailand.
AutoFlight presented its eVTOL portfolio, including the V2000CG CarryAll, a 2-ton unmanned cargo aircraft; V2000CGF, an emergency-response variant; V2000EM Prosperity, a passenger eVTOL; and SUNSHIP, a water-based green vertiport. The V2000CG has received the full three airworthiness certificates — Type Certificate (TC), Production Certificate (PC) and Airworthiness Certificate (AC) from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and a Validated Type Certificate (VTC) from Indonesia’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), supporting its entry into international markets.
Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon said: “AutoFlight has made impressive progress in both airworthiness certification and international market development. As eVTOL technology continues to advance, international collaboration and knowledge sharing are essential. We look forward to working closely with AutoFlight through Thailand’s sandbox program to explore practical applications for Advanced Air Mobility in the country.”
With its strong tourism sector, major urban centers and extensive island networks, Thailand presents opportunities for eVTOL applications in urban mobility, island connectivity, emergency response and medical transportation. CAAT is also developing the regulatory and operational framework needed to support the safe introduction of eVTOL aircraft and the growth of Thailand’s Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem.
The visit builds on the growing engagement between AutoFlight and CAAT and marks another step toward exploring practical eVTOL applications and future demonstration and pilot opportunities in Thailand.
