AutoFlight's CarryAll Becomes World's First 2-Ton eVTOL Aircraft to Receive Production License

THE Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has granted AutoFlight’s CarryAll unmanned cargo aircraft a Production Certificate (PC), the aviation pioneer has announced. This marks a historic achievement as the world’s first production license for a 2-ton electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, clearing the way for CarryAll to begin mass production.

The Production Certificate (PC), which was granted on December 24, 2024, is one of three core certificates in the aircraft airworthiness certification system. It represents the CAAC’s validation of an aircraft manufacturer’s production quality system, confirming their capability to consistently manufacture aircraft that meet approved design standards.

CarryAll received its Type Certificate (TC) and type design approval in March 2024, after which AutoFlight began pursuing Production Certification. The CAAC review team then conducted comprehensive evaluations of the CarryAll model, including quality system documentation review, on-site assessments, and supplier audits, all in accordance with civil aviation regulations. During the certification process, AutoFlight developed a comprehensive Production Quality Assurance Manual incorporating 39 procedural documents. The review team conducted over 100 on-site inspections and held 13 formal review meetings.

With this production license granted, AutoFlight will now advance CarryAll’s mass production, individual aircraft certification (AC), and establish delivery and after-sales support systems to facilitate commercial deployment.

AutoFlight has secured order agreements for CarryAll with multiple logistics companies and low-altitude operators, advancing the adoption of eVTOL technology in low-altitude logistics. The company aims to transform the global air logistics industry by providing more efficient and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.
